The National Football League has taken disciplinary action against former Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.

The NFL has suspended Tucker for 10 games, effective August 26th, regardless of whether he is on a team roster. This suspension comes in response to more than a dozen allegations of inappropriate conduct with massage therapists between 2012 and 2016, as reported by The Baltimore Banner.

According to the NFL’s announcement, Tucker will be eligible for reinstatement on November 11th. The league has stated that during his suspension, Tucker may participate in team practices and preseason games if signed by a team during the offseason.

Tucker, who played 13 seasons with the Ravens, was released by the team on May 5th. At the time, Ravens’ General Manager Eric DeCosta described it as a “football decision,” though he had previously acknowledged the seriousness of the allegations against Tucker.

This case raises important questions about player conduct and the NFL’s disciplinary processes. Tucker’s agent, Rob Roche, expressed disappointment with the league’s decision but indicated that Tucker would accept the resolution to “put this difficult episode behind him.”

Tucker and his legal team continue to deny the allegations. In a previous statement, Tucker said, “I have always made a conscious effort to be considerate and respectful in all of the interactions with the community that I love so much.”

Tucker, at 35 years old, is statistically the most accurate kicker in NFL history with a career field goal percentage of 89.1%. He also holds the record for the longest field goal at 66 yards.
