Elon Musk, the head of DOGE, and Sen. Adam Schiff(D-CA) had a fight on X which culminated on Thursday.
The controversy began over Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation vote. Schiff said on Tuesday that he was going to hold the floor, and do everything he can to stop the “nomination.” He was referring to confirmation but couldn’t get it right.
Elon Musk then threw the gauntlet down, asking “How much do they pay you, Schiffty?” He was asking if Schiff received anything for opposing Kennedy.
We reported that Schiff and the Democrats were utterly defeated when Kennedy was confirmed.
All they could do was scream and call Elon Musk names.
Schiff attacked Musk by giving a response he knew did not answer Musk’s questions.
“Thanks, Elon. My salary and financial report are public. You asked, “When will you release yours?” Schiff responded.
Um, Adam? No one asked about your salary as a public employee, which is also public. Schiff is at it again, obfuscating and deflecting. He was criticized by X for not answering the questions, so if he believed he was clever, it did not go down well.
Elon Musk’s position is clear. He doesn’t take a salary. Imagine. Imagine that. According to reports, he’s sleeping on the ground in his office near the White House, to do as much work on this as possible.
It’s a powerful and amazing thing that should be praised, but Democrats are only hurting themselves by trying to stop it.
Schiff claims that Musk filed a financial disclosure. NPR reports that Musk had an ethics briefing, and was preparing a confidential financial declaration form. Schiff’s attack on Musk is no different. It seems full of holes, just like the rest of his attacks. Musk has the highest security clearances. It’s a bit absurd to say that it’s cool for random government employees we don’t know to look at this information DOGE reviews, but Musk cannot. The real “unelected bureaucracy” is not Musk, who was appointed by Trump via DOGE at the Executive Office of the President.
Schiff also threw a tantrum about the upcoming vote for Kash Patel as FBI Director.
He is not going to be able to manage the next four and a half years or what’s ahead very well.
