The House of Representatives passed the “big, beautiful” bill funding his agenda. President Donald Trump thanked them for their support.
Trump posted on his Truth Social page: “Congratulations on the House’s passage of a Bill which sets the stage for the signing of one of the most important and greatest acts in our country’s history.” It will also be the largest tax and regulation cuts ever imagined. “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGENDA!”
The House passed the bill on Thursday by 216 votes against 214, and two Republicans joined all Democrats to vote in opposition. The original vote for Wednesday night was canceled because House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) did not have the required votes for passage.
