Leaders of the U.S. State Department are starting to develop a new blueprint that will be used for programs and distribution systems.
Politico reports that the initiative has not been announced officially. Politico reported that it had obtained a document outlining the major changes, which, if implemented in practice would affect nearly every aspect of U.S. Foreign Aid programs.
Donald Trump took office as President on January 20th. On the same day, Trump ordered the start of major changes to foreign aid programs and policies.

The Executive Order begins with the following: “The United States Foreign Aid Industry and Bureaucracy is not aligned to American interests, and in many instances it is antithetical American values.” Trump’s Order highlighted contradictory taxpayer-funded efforts. They serve to destabilize the world peace by promoting in foreign countries ideas that are directly opposite to harmonious and stabile relations within and between countries.
DOGE’s (Department of Government Efficiency), review of USAID funding that goes overseas, and the massive cuts to spending as a result of this review are still at the center of intense court battles.
According to the Politico report, Trump’s stated priorities appear to have been reflected in this new plan. Report also states that there could be an impact on the U.S. access to energy resources.
