Unfortunately, we’ve become accustomed to hearing stories about progressives who love criminals and see the victims as inconveniences. We’ve seen that they don’t just tolerate illegal immigration, but actively promote it.
Some stories are still so absurd that you have to ask yourself, “Are they really serious?”
This is the case in the story of Brandon Jesus Simoza Seijas. An illegal Venezuelan living on taxpayers’ money at an NYC Hotel, he recently robbed the office of Soros-backed Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, who was soft on crime and masturbated with her in the hallway.
He grinned at the cameras when he was arrested and had a general attitude that said, “screw it, you’re not doing anything to me.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed to Daily Caller News Foundation that the Rikers Custody Unit will not honor a detainer for Brandon Jesus Simoza Seijas. Simoza, who is a Venezuelan citizen and has been arrested multiple times by the police this year, remains in custody of the New York Department of Corrections at Rikers Island since he was alleged to have attacked an assistant prosecutor of District Attorney Alvin Bragg a few days ago.
Simosa stayed at the Row NYC Hotel, which was funded with taxpayers’ money.
In so many cases, we have seen that the suspect had been in custody and was then released to cause havoc within our communities. This is what Biden-Harris will leave behind for many years.
An ICE spokesperson told the DCNF on Monday that Brandon Jesus Simoza Seijas, a Venezuelan citizen who is unlawfully present in the United States, entered the United States before being admitted or inspected by immigration officials. “U.S. Border Patrol met Simoza in Del Rio, Texas on Oct. 18, 2023, gave him a notice of appearance and released him under his recognizance.
Simoza, a 38-year-old woman victim, allegedly followed her into her apartment on November 17 at 2 am and demanded cash. This is according to a statement from the New York Police Department provided to DCNF. Simoza allegedly stole the victim’s cellphone and bank cards, before fleeing.
It’s not his first run-in with the law. He has been arrested five times in New York City. You can’t help but feel that New York’s progressive officials want this to happen. They want New Yorkers living in fear for reasons I cannot understand. They would act differently if that were not true.
Even Democrat Mayor Eric Adams admits that things need to change.
ICE’s statement marks the latest conflict between the agency’s officials and New York City officials. This is despite calls from local authorities, legislators, and even New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams for the city to amend its sanctuary laws to facilitate greater cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
Adams stated in July that the former administration had made a mistake, referring specifically to sanctuary policies implemented by former Mayor Bill de Blasio. “I believe we need to fix that part.”
“New Yorkers have a right to be safe in their city,” Adams continued. “The same way anyone breaks the law or does something violent to New Yorkers, I’m going to voice my concern about that.”
