Officials said that an Ohio doctor was charged with arson for allegedly setting another doctor’s home on fire.
Andrew Campbell, 33 years old, was arrested after an investigation into a fire that occurred on December 7, which police “determined had not been accidental.” A grand jury indicted Campbell for six counts of aggravated arson on Tuesday.
Authorities are investigating a possible link between the fire, and a rumored affair between Campbell’s spouse and Dr. Tahir Jamil who was the target of the arson.

According to a police report, Jamil told the police that he and Campbell’s wife had a relationship from late July until early August 2024. She allegedly informed Jamil that her husband discovered their affair on Aug. 7.
Campbell’s status as a fellow at the University of Toledo Hematology/Oncology Program was confirmed by a spokesperson.
The school informed him of the charges and placed him on unpaid administrative leave, according to a spokesperson. The spokesperson stated, “The University will not comment further at this time while authorities conduct their investigations.”
