A Kansas babysitter found a disturbing surprise when a child complained that a “monster” that was hiding was there.
Barton County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Wednesday that the babysitter discovered a man under the child’s bed after showing the children that nothing was there.
The sheriff’s department said that “she came face to face with a male suspect who was hiding in the area.”
The disturbance was reported to deputies at 10:10 p.m. Monday. The babysitter informed the deputies after they arrived that there had been an altercation when the man was found.

The suspect fled after knocking the babysitter and the child over.
Deputies found the man the next day while searching for the suspect. After a brief pursuit, the deputies were able to catch him.
Martin Villalobos Jr. (27) was arrested and booked in the Barton County Jail for multiple charges, including aggravated child endangerment and kidnapping. Villalobos, according to the sheriff’s department, is being held under a bond of $500,000
The sheriff’s department said Villalobos once lived on the property. A protection order was issued to keep him away from the property.
