Ghislaine Maxwell, a former companion of the convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, reportedly told Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche in last month’s interview that former President Donald Trump had not acted inappropriately in her presence. This information comes to us from multiple sources familiar with the discussions.

Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sexual trafficking of minors, did not provide any damning information about Trump during the interview, according to a Wednesday report by ABC News.

Maxwell is currently appealing her conviction, citing jury misconduct and other factors that potentially influenced the trial outcomes. Maxwell’s attorney, David Markus, stated after the meeting that his client “didn’t hold anything back” and is open to cooperating with the Department of Justice for any potential relief.

The Trump administration is reportedly considering the public release of the full transcripts of the Maxwell-Blanche interview. The decision could be made as early as this week. There is also an audio recording of the sessions, but it remains undecided whether this would accompany the transcripts in any potential public release.

This development follows earlier reports that Trump, when questioned about the transcript release, said he had no prior knowledge of the meeting or Maxwell’s recent prison transfer from Florida to Texas. He stated, “I didn’t know about it at all, no. I read about it just like you did. It’s not a very uncommon thing.” He further expressed his desire to release everything, but voiced concern about potential harm to individuals.

The Department of Justice and the White House, as of yet, have not responded to requests for comment.
