According to local officials and the Federal Aviation Administration, three passengers aboard a small plane were killed during a crash on Friday morning at Boca Raton Airport in Florida.
Michael LaSalle stated during a Boca Fire Rescue press conference, “Apparently the aircraft had mechanical problems, and it crashed here on Military Trail. “
LaSalle reports that one man has suffered injuries that are not life-threatening.
LaSalle said, “He struck a tree due to the debris and fire.”

Flightradar24 reported that the plane had been in the air less than 20 seconds when it crashed.
Dillon Smith stated: “I was sitting in my office at the time when I observed the plane flying extremely low and appearing as if it was going to strike the rooftop of a nearby building. “
Smith said, “I saw and heard the plane fly over our building, and I also saw it turn around and return.”
He lost sight of the plane, but it “came back” and appeared to be heading towards the airport [near Boca Raton].

“I just saw it drop below the trees” and “heard a boom,” Smith said. He said his office windows shook, and he saw a “fireball.”
This video shows what appears to be the wreckage of a small aircraft on rail tracks next to a road. A fire caused by the crash has been extinguished.
Scott Singer, Boca Raton Mayor, said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected and their families.”
