According to officials at the base, small drones were seen over Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio near Dayton over the weekend.
Wright-Patterson AFB’s Chief of Public Affairs Bob Purtiman confirmed on Fox News Sunday that a “small unmanned aircraft system” was spotted in and around the Air Force Base between Friday and Saturday.
Purtiman stated, “Installation leaders have determined to date that none of these incursions has impacted residents, assets, or facilities at the base.” “We’re taking all the necessary measures to protect Wright-Patterson residents and facilities.” “Our units are continuing to monitor the airspace, and working with local authorities to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and facilities at the base.”

He also encouraged anyone who spots anything suspicious, such as drones or unmanned aerial systems, to contact the local police or Security Forces personnel.
As concerns grow about the increasing number of drone sightings in places such as New Jersey and New York, this news is timely. Drones were reported near military research facilities in New Jersey and Trump’s Bedminster Golf Course.
