The Department of Government Efficiency reports that people who claim unemployment insurance benefits have birth dates as far out as 15 years.

DOGE posted “An Initial Survey of Unemployment Insurance Claims since 2020” on X.

“- 24,5k people aged over 115 claimed $59M of benefits

“. 28k children aged between 1-5 years claimed 254M dollars in benefits

“- 9,7k people with dates of birth over 15 years into the future claimed $69M benefits

In one case, a person with a birthdate in 2154 was awarded $41k.

Separately, DOGE announced that “California accounted for the majority of these incorrect claims, totaling over $305M in benefits.”

California also accounted for 68% of the unemployment benefits paid by CBP (Customs and Border Patrol) to parolees who were identified on the terrorist watchlist or had criminal records.
