On Thursday, the U.S. Education Department launched a website called “End DEI,” where people can complain about diversity measures, equity measures, and inclusion in publicly funded K -12 schools.

Why is it Important?

Since assuming office in January 2017, the Republican Donald Trump administration has attempted to destroy DEI initiatives. Trump issued an executive order that targets DEI in the federal government and private companies.

Earlier this month, the Trump Administration warned universities and academic institutions of a reduction in federal funding if they continue to run DEI programs.

The deadline for educational institutions to cease DEI practices outlined in the 14th of February letter is approaching. Teachers’ unions have sued the Trump Administration because of that letter.
