On Wednesday, President Trump addressed Women’s History Month from the East Room. He used his usual mix of humor and commentary, but he also managed to throw in a few truth bombs. President Trump, for example, has no problem defining what a woman is, unlike many of his left-wing counterparts.

The President said:

Let them continue to fight for this two percent issue. You can’t become a female no matter how many operations you have or how many chemicals you inject. If you were born with male DNA, every cell in your body will be masculine. You will never be a female.

The president is right, this is Biology 101. But it’s worth repeating. The president, who may not be a biologist but is well-versed in this subject, is referring to our 23rd pair of chromosomes. They come in two types: X and Y. Men have an X and a Y, and women have two X chromosomes. The left has a difficult time understanding that a “woman” is an adult female Homo Sapiens, or us, who has two pairs of X chromosomes.

Why does it seem so difficult for the left to grasp?

Later in his speech, Trump made a friendly jab at Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, who attended the event with his wife.

The president said:

What are you doing, Howard, in this group of men and women? (Laughter) Huh? Oh, that is a good thing… his wife is there. I was going to ask, “What’s Howard doing here?” The audience is mainly made up of women.

If a woman, or in this case women, is being honored at a big event, a husband should be by her side.

After 33 years of marriage, I’ve always thought that was my place.

Leftists love to shout and thrash their chests, but the strongest, independent women I have ever met were not radical leftists. My grandmother was a farmwife who raised six children during the depression, my mother, who is also a farmer’s wife, could toss 100-pound bales of hay into a wagon, and my wife who has more emotional and physical courage than anyone else I have ever met.

These are the women we should be remembering during Women’s History Month. I’m certain that President Trump would agree.
