Martin Marks was appointed by President Donald Trump as White House liaison with the Jewish Community. Marks oversaw the efforts of the president to gain Jewish votes for the election in 2024.

Taylor Rogers (assistant press secretary at the White House) told Jewish Insider that President Trump was committed to restoring the peace through strength, returning the hostages, and fighting antisemitism both domestically and abroad. The White House Faith Office fulfills the president’s commitment to protect religious liberty for Americans of all religions, including Jewish Americans.

Trump didn’t appoint an official liaison during his first term. Instead, he chose his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to fill this role informally, along with former antisemitism Special Envoy Elan Carr.

Mark’s official title is listed as special assistant to the President and Director of Jewish Engagement in the White House Faith Office. Pastor Paula White is the head of the office.

Trump’s second administration has made tackling antisemitism in universities and other places a priority.

Marks, a writer who has published articles in Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and other media outlets for many years, opened a Yoga studio in Palm Beach in Florida. Jewish Insider also reported that Marks had been a writer since the early 1990s.
