King Charles III invited President Donald Trump to a second visit of state to the United Kingdom on Thursday.
In a letter sent to Trump from the U.K., an invitation was included. Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, is currently meeting Trump in the White House to discuss ending the conflict in Ukraine.
“This is really special. This has never happened before. This is unprecedented,” Starmer said as he was sitting next to Trump in the Oval Office.

I think it just represents the strength of our relationship. It is an extremely special letter. “I think that the last state visit was an incredible success,” he continued. His Majesty the King wants this to be even more successful than before.
Starmer said, “What I don’t have yet is your response.” This brought laughter.
The answer is yes, on behalf of our wonderful First Lady Melania and myself,” Trump replied. “We look forward to being there, honoring the king, and truly honoring your country. Your country is fantastic.”

Trump called Charles a “wonderful man”
He added, “I have gotten to know him in my first and second terms.”
Starmer stated that he “would be happy” to accept Trump’s invitation from King Charles.
