Billy Ray Cyrus’ son is concerned about his father.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Trace Cyrus, the 35-year-old son of Billy Ray Cyrus expressed his concern for him.
Trace Cyrus wrote, “From my very earliest memories, I can only remember that I was obsessed with you. You were the coolest ever. “
“I wanted you to be like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now.”
He said, “It seems that the world has beaten you down.” Everyone knows it but you. You may be upset with me, but at this point, I don’t care. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away.”
Billy Ray Cyrus has six children, including Trace, whom the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer shares with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus. The former couple also share Brandi Cyrus, 37; Miley Cyrus, 32; Braison Cyrus, 30; and Noah Cyrus, 25. He shares another son, Christopher Cody Cyrus, with Kristin Luckey.
Trace Cyrus wrote to his father saying, “My sister Noah desperately wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there to support her. The family is hanging on to the memory of the man we once knew, hoping for his return.” “Everyone knows you’re not doing well, Dad.” He said that he was “tears-filled” as he hoped his father would realize that the message came from his love and his fear of losing him way too soon. “
Trace Cyrus said he doesn’t know exactly what his father is “struggling” with, but that he would “love to help you,” and that “until this day comes, I will continue praying for you”
Billy Ray Cyrus’ performance at Monday’s Liberty Ball, which was widely regarded as a failure by many, raised eyebrows.
Cyrus disappointed fans by mumbling the lyrics to “Old Town Road” and speaking with a shaky tone. Cyrus’ performance was marred due to technical issues. At one point, his electric guitar was not connected to the sound system.
He said: “In the face of technical difficulties, one must continue or, to quote President Trump, “You have to fight”.
The singer later told People magazine that he “wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not.”
