Robert F. Kennedy, the nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services, appeared before another Senate Committee on Thursday to answer questions. The meeting went as planned. Kennedy was asked by Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) if he supported onesies with anti-vax messages on them when he appeared in front of the Senate Finance Committee last Wednesday. Sanders went on an utterly irrational rant, asking if Kennedy would support such a thing. It was pure comedy.

Sanders is also a member of the Senate HELP Committee (Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions), so he was able to dig into the mystery surrounding the onesie and other issues. Bernie, the broken record, wants universal healthcare with the rallying cry “Health Care for All!” Sanders’ five-minute rant Thursday was a rambling rant about the corruption of the healthcare system and his attempt to convince Kennedy that healthcare is a right. Kennedy pushed Sanders back, exposing his hypocrisy regarding corruption.

WATCH:

Sparks fly when RFK Jr. calls Bernie Sanders OUT on his hypocrisy. “The corruption problem is not only in federal agencies; it’s also in Congress.” “Almost all of the members of this committee, including YOU, accept money from the pharmaceutical industry.”

Sanders’ campaign finance filings do not lie. Open Secrets reports that Sanders received $1,953,613 worth of pharmaceutical donations between 1990 and 2024. Sanders is one of the top 20 recipients of Big Pharma’s generosity. The list also includes “Rev-ER” Raphael Warnock, D-GA, who earned $1,763,425 during that time while ranting about Kennedy conspiracy theories and Kennedy insulting the CDC (Warnock’s local bureaucracy). Don’t forget Sen. Patty Murray, D-WA. She collected $1.616,081 for her “dangerous” views while sneering at Kennedy.

Senator Patty Murray warned us about RFK Jr. and his “fringe conspiracist” status. She had no intention of confirming Kennedy.

What does the money tell us? It was very clear to me who funded her.

  • Nearly 667k dollars from health professionals
  • Pharmaceuticals accounted for $513,000.
  • Insurance companies paid $312k.
  • HMOs owe $198k.

It’s not that I don’t want to confirm Kennedy, it is just that I didn’t think it was a good idea.

She is up for election in two years. Washington. Start planning now to vote her out in your primary. We need to stop electing these people. We cannot tolerate people who are loyal to their corporate donors over the American people.

Many Democrats and Republicans are on board the corporate and pharmaceutical medicine gravy train. This X account compiled a listing and provided receipts for the campaigns on the left and right to destroy Kennedy’s nomination. This thread included senators who had been yelling at Kennedy about anti-vax and measles in their committees, as well as conspiracy theories and onesie wearers.

Dr. Casey Means, a fervent supporter of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and his nomination as HHS secretary has written a lengthy thread on X. It is worth reading. She made one key point.

There have been 25 HHS secretaries in U.S. History, 9 of whom were lawyers (including the two most recent ones), and I’d bet 99.9% of Americans couldn’t name one of them. RFK Jr. has been the subject of so much scrutiny because he challenges financial interests (Big Pharma), not because he poses a threat to public health. He is a threat to the corporate interests.

The loudness of the senators’ bleating is directly proportional to the amount they have received in money from these corporate interests. Follow the money. The senators who hold Kennedy’s fate in their hands are all compromised, and America knows it.
