Thursday was not a good day for Democrats. Kash Patel was confirmed with a vote of 51-49, even though they had railed against him.

Democrats staged a last-minute protest in front of the FBI building. I must admit, this photo made me laugh.

Where were the crowds? Elon Musk said that “public outrage” was high, but there were only five Democratic politicians in the photo. In another video and picture, I saw Sen. Richard Blumenthal. They didn’t seem to have been able to remove all of their senators.

Patel’s confirmation must have made the Democrats furious, especially Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Listen to Schiff’s rant about Patel lacking “trust,” “character,” or “integrity.”

Has he looked in the mirror recently? Isn’t this the same guy who was censured for lying to the American public about Russia’s collusion by his House colleagues?

Elon Musk responded to Schiff’s comments by calling him a criminal. Note that he has never been charged with a crime or convicted. Schiff might be wondering if Patel is interested in changing that. Joe Biden has pardoned Schiff for his actions as a member of the Jan.6 Committee, despite Schiff’s claim that it wasn’t a good thing.

Musk’s comments irritated Schiff, who responded with a lame attack against President Donald Trump.

I don’t believe lawfare is as flexed out as he believes it to be. On X, many taunted him over that pardon by Biden.

Those who want to criticize Trump have pointed out this comment that he made back in 2020.

Patel was the Democratic concern in some respects because he wanted to clean up the FBI. There are so many cases that have not been fully investigated or prosecuted but should have been. Justice is the goal, not revenge. It’s hard not to believe that there are people behind the scenes who are on edge about what will be revealed and what Patel may pursue.

We’ve seen that the Trump team has been putting in a lot of effort to get things done in different areas. Vice President JDVance, who spoke with great enthusiasm at CPAC about some of these areas, detailed them.

I would expect no less than “shock and awe” here as well, with a clear re-orientation.
