LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne, and her boyfriend Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates, were seen celebrating the New Year in New Orleans with friends the same evening a Texas driver drove his pick-up truck into a crowd in Bourbon Street killing over a dozen people.
Dunne shared several pictures on Wednesday, indicating that she and her popular LSU partner were in New Orleans before the tragic attack which claimed the lives of 14 people.
Bubba Chandler, a Pirates prospect, and his girlfriend were also present.
Dunne shared another photo to her Instagram Stories of Bourbon Street draped in Georgia flags before Wednesday’s Sugar Bowl. She captioned the picture with an emoji that looked like a broken heart, but she hasn’t commented publicly about Wednesday’s attack.

Police have identified the suspect as Shamsuddin Jabbar (42 years old), who was declared dead at the scene following a gunfight with local authorities.
After an ISIS flag in the truck was discovered, the FBI is attempting to determine “the potential associations and affiliations of this subject with terrorist organizations.” The suspect’s car contained weapons and an IED.

The Bureau also reported that other potential IEDs had been found in the French Quarter.
The FBI clarified on Thursday that Jabbar was the only suspect in the attack. Initially, officials said there could have been other suspects involved.
The quarterfinal College Football Playoff game between Georgia and Notre Dame on Wednesday was postponed following the deadly terror attack. The organizers agreed to postpone the game for the next day with a kickoff time of 4 pm. ET.
