Donald Trump is working hard to bring peace to Ukraine. The left is content with an endless war, as we continue to pour money into Ukraine with no end in sight. And anyone who objected to it or wanted more of an accounting was somehow supporting Russia.
Under Trump, we finally address this question and discuss options that Biden, and many members of Congress, simply did not want to address.
Niall Ferguson is a historian and Hoover Institution Fellow. He objected against the Trump team’s approach, citing what George H.W. Bush had said about the invasion of Kuwait: “This will not stand. This will not stand, this aggression against Kuwait.”
Vice-President JDVance gave a harsh response.
Globalists are unable to express themselves in other ways, so instead they resort to this moralistic nonsense.
Three years ago, President Trump made the same arguments to me. First, the war wouldn’t have begun if President Trump had been in office. The second argument is that neither the Biden administration nor the Ukrainians can win. This was true three years ago, two years ago, last year, and today.
For the past three years, those with the right concerns have been ignored. Yet another aid package? Does he realize the Russian numerical edge, the Europeans’ depleted stock, or even their further depleted industry base?
These people rely on irrelevant historical events.
President Trump is dealing with facts and reality.
Here is some information.
First, the generosity of the United States has greatly benefited our Western European allies. They continue to follow policies (such as immigration and censorship) that offend the majority of Americans and they defend themselves by relying on policies that are based upon a continued dependence.
Second, Russia continues to enjoy a numerical superiority over Ukraine when it comes to manpower and weapons. The advantage will continue to exist regardless of future Western aid packages.
Both sides of the conflict have a great deal of leverage over the United States.
To end a conflict, you must talk to the people who initiated it and continue it.
The conflict is still bad for Russia and Ukraine. But most importantly, it’s bad for America.

In light of these facts, we must pursue peace. President Trump won for this, and it is right. To call this “appeasement” is ahistorical, as is to say that America has to consider conflict.
President Trump’s policy will be based on interests and not historical ignorance or moralism in the coming weeks.
Thank God that this is available.
There’s finally a push to change and resolve the conflict in a way that is not only better for Europe but also puts our interests first.
In 2018, Europe thought that we should not pay equally for NATO and Europe’s defense.
Vance’s remarks were met with applause.
David Limbaugh called it “one for the ages”.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) said:
Amen. Thank you for having a vice president and president who always put America’s best interests first. The president and vice president also acknowledged the truth regarding Ukraine.
White House reporter Charlie Spiering said Ferguson “laments the loss of Republican neocons like George H.W. Bush.”
Ferguson’s response was very interesting. He assured Vance he had supported Trump and Vance and that Vance was in agreement with the majority of his remarks. This included the speech he made on Europe in Munich and the five points Vance mentioned.
Ferguson was angry that he thought they conceded too much at the start. He claimed that he was reading the article. It included removing NATO membership from the table, conceding territory, and creating a peacekeeping force that could include China.
I wish the Trump administration would be able to negotiate a peaceful resolution to this conflict. If we can achieve peace, it will be sad if that peace condemns Ukraine, first to division, and then to invasions. I agreed with you in Munich on the majority of points. Europeans have talked about “strategic autonomy” for too long without taking any serious steps to achieve it.
Last year, you and President Trump ran an advertising campaign using the phrase “peace through strength”.
There are a few points worth mentioning. Ferguson is primarily based on his reading. Ferguson is not privy to the private conversations.
Trump has made it clear that he believes in “peace through strength”.
Let’s review:
A. The bombs were dropped on the heads of Russian contractors firing at an American base in Syria.
B. He was angry at Qasem’s attacks against Americans. This message is not just for Iran but also Russia.
C. He has imposed all sorts of sanctions on Russia and expelled Russians from embassies because they were out of line.
Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine after he realized Biden was weak.
Both China and Putin know that Trump is a different person and places America’s interests first.
Vance just drove that home as well.
