Jamaal Bowman, a fire drill enthusiast from the Democratic Party of New York (DNY), set off alarm bells when he told a CNN panel on Monday that President Joe Biden should use his pardon powers to release every death row prisoner in America.

Bowman stunned CNN anchor Abby Phillip when he referred to the prosecution against Hunter Biden in a “witch-hunt” as a way of justifying the pardon of the First Son.

The outgoing congressman said, “It was always a witch-hunt,” a defense that seemed to confirm Donald Trump’s claims about the Department of Justice being corrupt.

He defended the president by saying that a pardon of one’s son was to be expected. Then he added that under Trump, the DOJ would allegedly target Hunter. This is an odd hot take, considering he admitted that Biden’s DOJ had targeted Hunter.

Bowman then shifted to his next great idea. “Let’s also add… add one thing.”

The “one thing”, however, was quite a biggie.

“Don’t stop at Hunter Biden,” Bowman demanded. Bowman said, “Pardon 40 people on death row now and get them off death row number one.”

He added: “Number 2, pardon the 3,00 people in federal prison for false marijuana charges. Pardon them too, so they can return to their communities to contribute to their economies. That’s exactly what the president ought to do.”

The second half is a different argument. Let’s concentrate on the federal death-row inmates that he suggests deserve a pardon.

Robert Gregory Bowers is one such individual. On October 27, 2018, Bowers walked into a Tree of Life Synagogue, a Pittsburgh suburb, and fired a semiautomatic rifle at the congregation. After all, he killed 11 people and injured six more.

Pardon that guy, Jamaal?

Bowman appears to also be seeking a Pardon for Dylann Roof, who is believed to have committed one of America’s most horrific racially motivated mass shootings.

Roof, motivated by hatred of race, killed nine African Americans during a Bible Study at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, 2015

In Bowman’s universe, he gets a pardon.

We all know that the New York Democrat, based on his fire alarm stunt is not the sharpest tool. He now shares a common cause with Cori Bush (D, MO), another Squad member. Bush has said that President Biden must grant clemency for those on death row.

In an op/ed she wrote for Time Magazine: “If [Biden] opposes the death penalty, he must do all he can to stop it forever.” His most powerful tool is to grant clemency to all federal death row inmates.

This may not be surprising. Bowman was once a principal of a middle school where convicted cop killer Joanne Chesimard, aka Assata, hung on the “Wall of Fame.”

Shakur was added to the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List under Barack Obama’s presidency in 2013. Shakur was convicted of the murder of a New Jersey trooper in 1973, but escaped prison and fled to Cuba.

Democrats always seem to be siding with criminals. Bowman is not an exception. This kind of outrageous behavior led him and Bush to be soundly defeated in both their primaries.

Good riddance.
