Iran has repeatedly demonstrated its untrustworthiness. They’ve been enriching uranium to near weapons-grade levels while simultaneously claiming peaceful intentions. This is a fundamental misunderstanding of how deterrence works. If Iran is enriching uranium to weapons-grade, and weapons-grade uranium is used for nuclear weapons, then Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons. It’s that simple.
Meanwhile, the left seems to believe that economic sanctions are somehow an unfair punishment on the Iranian people. That’s just not true. Statistically speaking, sanctions are one of the most effective non-military tools we have to influence rogue regimes. The idea that we should lift these sanctions in exchange for empty promises is not only naive but dangerous to our national security and that of our allies in the region, particularly Israel.

Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that Iran agrees to some sort of deal. Here’s the reality: without anytime, anywhere inspections and a complete dismantling of their nuclear infrastructure, any agreement is worthless. The data clearly shows that Iran has a history of concealing nuclear sites and violating international agreements. Facts don’t care about your feelings, and the facts about Iran’s nuclear ambitions are clear.
In conclusion, these talks in Rome are nothing more than a charade, giving Iran more time to advance its nuclear program. The bottom line is this: Iran cannot be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, period.
