Federal authorities announced Wednesday that they had arrested a U.S. national for allegedly making terroristic threats against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

The Homeland Security Investigations in Dallas posted on X that Robert King had been arrested in McKinney for terroristic threats made against ICE agents and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. A picture showed a man in handcuffs surrounded by blurred-out law enforcement officials.

The Dallas agency stated that “King posted alarming posts on social media, including his intention to ‘open-fire’ if any agents were seen in the neighborhood.”

The arrest occurred days after a TikTok video was posted in which someone encouraged people to “shoot ICE agents at sight.”

The New York Post reported that the user in the video appeared to have removed the video Sunday night. “That’s right, if ICE agents try to steal you or a loved one, shoot them at sight.”

Noem posted a video on X in a Sunday post.

Noem wrote: “If you attempt or threaten to harm an officer of law enforcement, we will track you down and prosecute you in the fullest sense of the law.”

A DHS spokesperson told The Hill that “like Secretary Noem, we will prosecute anyone who threatens or attempts to harm an officer of law enforcement to the full extent of the law. Promises made, promises kept.”
