According to a DHS spokesperson, the purse of Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was stolen from a Washington restaurant over the weekend.
Noem carried $3,000 cash, her passport, her makeup bag, her DHS card, her apartment key, and more in her purse.
The DHS official stated that the secretary had the money because her family was in town to see her and she was taking them out to celebrate Easter.
A man in a mask approached the secretary’s table and grabbed the purse. According to the DHS official, the Secret Service is conducting an investigation.
