Social media was flooded with reactions after Donald Trump stepped in to take the lead and support Elon Musk. Tesla stock recovered Tuesday following a sharp decline at the start of the week due to the protests taking place in Tesla showrooms around the nation.

Democrats snubbed Trump for his latest stunt, accusing him of running a Tesla advertisement at the White House.

In an X-post, Ken Martin, Chair of the DNC, said: “I am sure that all those who have lost their jobs, retirement and health insurance because Trump, are happy to see the White House transformed into a dealership for the wealthiest man on earth.”

Fox News’s Peter Doocy questioned Trump on his message for Americans facing financial insecurity and worrying about their retirement plans while he was purchasing a Tesla. Trump said to Doocy that he needed to place foreign tariffs in order to stimulate the American economy.

“Well, I think they’re going to do great. I think our country had to do this. We had to go and do this. They’ve taken away – other countries have taken away our business. They have taken away our jobs,” Trump replied. “This economy, in my opinion, is going to blow it away.”

I have to get the workers back. “I have to do this.” I need to open the factories. Closed 90000 factories… we’re taking back our jobs. Trump continued, “We’re bringing our jobs back.”

Democrats, including Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), were quick to criticize Trump’s Tesla picture. The price of groceries is soaring. The cost of housing is soaring. Savings for retirement are in freefall. Warren wrote in an article that Donald Trump had thought it would be good to sell cars today.

The Democratic National Committee posted that “Elon Musk used taxpayer funds to host a vehicle sale at the White House, after cutting funding to schools and planning to lay off 80,000 VA employees.”

While hardworking Americans watched their retirement funds plummet earlier today, President Trump filmed a Tesla advertisement in front of the White House to support Elon Musk’s declining stock. Democrats on the House Committee on Financial Services called it a “blatant conflict of interest” and a corruption that took place in full view.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee posted a picture of Musk and Trump standing next to the new red Tesla owned by Trump, calling it the “most corrupt government in American history.”

While Republicans voted to deny health insurance for families and veterans in the White House, Donald Trump held a Tesla auto show there as a thank-you to his largest donor. “Peak corruption,” said House Whip Rep. Katherine Clark (D-Mass.).

Social media users were outraged by an image of Trump with handwritten notes referring to Tesla vehicles. Joe Biden, the former president of the United States, was mocked for using notecards during his press conferences and public events.

After mocking Biden’s use of note cards today, Trump was caught with his notes about what to say when buying a Tesla – a car that he knows absolutely nothing about. Is the media going to make this a huge deal? Or nah?” “Or nah?” Democratic political strategist Chris D. Jackson wrote on X.

Trump said he did not “need” notes, making an insult to his predecessor.

Do you want to see my notes?” “They gave me notes.” I am not Biden. Trump said to reporters, “I don’t have notes.” He then jumped into the Tesla Model S and began driving. “I don’t believe so,” Trump said.

Musk has taken a victory run despite the negative criticism. Musk shared a picture of Biden, who snubbed Tesla in his 2021 electric vehicle summit, next to the photo of Teslas in front of the White House.

Tesla, despite being the largest manufacturer of electric cars in the United States, was not invited to an event at the White House in 2021. Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary, explained that the invited guests were “the three largest employers of United Auto Workers”. I will let the reporters draw their conclusions.

Musk posted a video of CNN’s Scott Jennings, who defended him in front of Abby Phillip during “CNN NewsNight.”

There’s a clip of Joe Biden in a Jeep driving around South Lawn… The president is known to support American businesses… Elon is being unfairly attacked, and I believe this company as well. There are people in New York City who chase people in Teslas all across the nation. “I had a close friend in New York who was trying to sell his Tesla, and protesters were screaming at his kids.”

Conservatives took to social media to defend Trump’s Tesla on Tuesday. They reminded liberals of Biden driving a Jeep Wrangler 4xe hybrid around White House grounds in order to promote his EV Initiative.

Collin Rugg, co-owner at Trending Politics and a former Jeep car salesman himself, replied to Warren.

Teslas are among the most American-made cars. Unlike GM Ford and Stellantis, each Tesla sold in America was built by American workers. Tesla’s Fremont plant in California, EV journalist, Sawyer Merritt, wrote in a blog post.

Trump said late on Monday that he would buy a new Tesla the next morning to show his confidence in Elon Musk. Musk is a great American.

“To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is ‘putting it on the line’ to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s ‘baby,’ to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for,” Trump said on Truth Social.

Trump’s support of Musk follows a series of violent protests against Tesla dealerships in the United States. Demonstrations began in protest against Elon Musk, who led the Department of Government Efficiency. DOGE has resulted in massive reductions of federal employees and revealed wasteful government expenditure.

It’s terrible to see so much violence against Tesla employees, Tesla customers, Tesla store owners, and Tesla supporters. Musk said to reporters that these people are innocent and have not done anything wrong.

“Elon Musk is being attacked, and his companies are being targeted because he is fighting to put Americans first,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., defended Musk in a post.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and other Republican House members called for an investigation into vandalism against Tesla cars and charging stations in the United States. Trump called the Tesla attacks domestic terrorism.
