A woman who claimed that Conor McGregor sexually assaulted her during a 2023 NBA Finals game has filed a suit against the combat sports superstar.

The Miami Heat are also named as defendants in the lawsuit filed on Tuesday at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. They overserved McGregor with alcohol.

The woman who remains anonymous, but is described as “a senior Wall Street Vice President at a highly-profile financial institution” and is 49 years old from Miami-Dade County, alleged that McGregor sexually abused her at the Kaseya Center after the Game 4 of the NBA Finals between Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets. The Florida State Attorney’s Office declined to file charges against McGregor after a criminal sexual assault accusation was made.

Jim Dunn said that his client’s only option to “seek justice”, after McGregor was not charged with a crime, was to file a civil lawsuit.

“My client is afraid of the impact this case may have on her career on Wall Street. She has carefully considered the decision and has weighed the pros and cons. Dunn stated that her primary goal is to spread awareness about sexual assault and to encourage others to come forward.

Barbara Llanes, McGregor’s lawyer, said that the legal team of the former UFC star is also “confident” that the case will be dismissed.

“After a thorough examination at the time the State’s attorney concluded that no case was to be pursued. Nearly two years later, and after at least three attorneys, the plaintiff now has a false story. “We are confident that the case will also be dismissed”, Llanes said.

The lawsuit claims that McGregor and the woman started talking after the match in the courtside club of the arena. One of McGregor’s security guards told the woman they were about to leave but McGregor had told him to grab her. McGregor’s private security member allegedly told the woman to let go after she asked him.

McGregor allegedly grabbed her and led her to the men’s bathroom with her friend. McGregor led the woman into a restroom stall but security at the arena allegedly refused to let her friend in. McGregor allegedly forced his penis in her mouth as she urinated, and then “slammed her” into the wall when she tried leaving.

McGregor, the security guards, and the woman are seeking reimbursement for medical costs and damages.

In the lawsuit, McGregor is also mentioned for an infamous incident that occurred on that night. McGregor twice hit Heat mascot Burnie during a promotional skit to promote a pain relief spray. The mascot sought medical attention after the game.

McGregor has been found responsible for a sexual assault that occurred in 2018. The civil suit was filed in Ireland. McGregor admitted to having sex under oath with Hand in the incident that was in question late in 2018 but claimed it was consensual. He planned to appeal the verdict.
