The U.S. Embassy in Vilnius announced Wednesday that four U.S. Army Soldiers went missing during training in Lithuania. Both the Lithuanian military and police, as well as the American military, are looking for them.
The embassy announced on X that the soldiers were missing near Pabrade, in eastern Lithuania near Belarus. The embassy did not specify when the soldiers went missing.
The soldiers were all part of the 1st Brigade 3rd Infantry Division and they were scheduled to be conducting tactical training when the incident occurred. Search and recovery efforts have begun.

The Lithuanian armed forces stated that they had been informed on Tuesday of the four missing U.S. soldiers as well as one tracked vehicle.
Lithuania reported that a possible location for the incident had been identified, and a search-and-rescue operation was underway.
