On Tuesday, protesters did not have a good time at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s town hall meeting in suburban Atlanta.

The Georgia Republican posted a video of one of the encounters, and she praised the response of the “GREAT police officers” who were “keeping the peace.” You can see one guy making a move on a cop that wasn’t going to end well for him.

Warning: Graphic language

The police did not play around. It began right at the start of the event. The police repeatedly told the protesters to stop resisting, “Stop,” and “Don’t Do It.” As the protesters were removed, people cheered. You can see that a person is tased if he does not appear to be paying attention to the warning.

Greene was largely supported by the majority of the audience. The audience chanted “U.S.A.” As other people were being escorted away, this man yelled, “Free Kilmar!” MTG understood the reference to Kilmar Garcia Abrego, the illegal alien deported to El Salvador.

She claimed that Democrats support illegal aliens.

Greene thanked a woman who had sworn at her and told her to “Go home safely.” As the woman was led out.

Six people were removed from the event. Two were tased and three arrested.

The Acworth Police Department stated that there was “a deliberate attempt to disrupt the events” and their “officers have been threatened, physically resisted and injured in the process” when trying to remove protesters. Two people were arrested for simple battery and obstruction of a police officer.

It’s disappointing that only a small group of people worked actively to disrupt what would have otherwise been a peaceful event.

The City of Acworth will do two things always. We will always support the men and women in uniform. We will also support any elected officials who host events in our facilities. “The purpose of this Town Hall was to allow Congresswoman Greene to communicate with her constituents and not to put others in danger.”
