Former President Joe Biden met recently with Democratic National Committee chairman Ken Martin to discuss a new campaigning strategy, as the support for the Democratic Party has plummeted, according to NBC News.
According to multiple polls, Democrats in Congress are less popular than they were in recent months. In a CNN poll conducted this week by SSRS, only 29% of Americans said they view the Democratic Party favorably. This is a new low for the poll.
Comparatively, the Republican Party has a current favorability rating of 36%.
The Bidens’ offer is not welcomed by all.
“There are plenty of people in the Democratic Party who were very frustrated with how things played out last year, but there are plenty of people who still love Joe Biden,” Alan Kessler, a longtime Democrat fundraiser from Philadelphia, told NBC.
He added, “It is time for new leadership.”

A second source from the Democratic Congression told the news outlet Biden should “stay retired with his pardoned families and keep his mouth closed.”
