State and federal officials have reported arrests relating to an alleged ‘planned ambush’ on an ICE detention facility in Texas. This incident occurred over the Fourth of July weekend and has resulted in the arrest of ten individuals.

The incident occurred at the Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas. According to reliable sources, namely Nancy Larson, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Texas, these individuals engaged in acts of vandalism and shot fireworks at the facility while dressed in black, military-style clothing.

This was a planned ambush with the intent to kill ICE corrections officers. A tactic involved using fireworks to lure correction officers out of the facility, during which time the suspects damaged vehicles and spray-painted the facility.

When an Alvarado police officer arrived on the scene, he was shot in the neck by one of the individuals. Another reportedly fired 20 to 30 rounds at facility correction officers. However, all suspects have since been apprehended, according to the U.S. attorney.

These individuals have been charged with attempted murder of a federal officer, with additional charges for each relating to discharging a firearm concerning a crime of violence. A key figure among the suspects, a certain Bradford Morris, was found to have a magazine clip and Kevlar vests.

Court records reveal that Morris had met like-minded individuals online who expressed a desire to ‘make a little noise’ at the detention center. Throughout multiple searches conducted in the wake of the incident, law enforcement found 12 sets of body armor, spray paint, a flag with a political message, flyers, more fireworks, weapons, and cell phones.

No employees at the Prairieland Detention Facility were harmed during the shooting incident, and the officer who was shot is expected to recover. The FBI is now working alongside local and state law enforcement on this ongoing investigation.

In conclusion, ten individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged planned attack on a Texas ICE detention facility. This raises important questions about the safety of such facilities and the potential influence of online platforms in orchestrating such actions.
