The initiative, spearheaded by the Spanish police, commenced towards the close of the previous year. This was prompted by the unearthing of online messaging circles involved in the circulation of images depicting child sexual exploitation. Reports indicate that seven individuals were apprehended in Spain, including a healthcare worker and an educator, according to Interpol.
The healthcare professional is accused of buying explicit images from minors residing in Eastern Europe, while the teacher stands accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material via multiple online platforms. This raises important questions about the safety of children in our increasingly digitized world.
According to reliable sources, law enforcement agencies in Latin America have taken ten individuals into custody across seven nations, including a trio in El Salvador and a teacher in Panama. The remaining suspects were apprehended in various regions of Europe and the United States.
