A recent court filing states that a civil lawsuit accusing Sean “Diddy” Combs and Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter of sexually abusing a 13-year-old at the time has been dismissed. According to the court documents, Jane Doe’s attorney voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit via her lawyer.
The short notice of voluntary dismissal read: “Counsel for Plaintiff has discussed the matter in depth with counsel representing defendants who have acknowledged this submission and consented.”
In a lawsuit filed last summer, two men were accused of raping an 18-year-old girl at a party following the 2000 Video Music Awards. Although the plaintiff admitted that her story was inconsistent, she still stood by it.
Carter Combs and both have denied the allegations, and their attorneys said that the dismissal is further proof of its baselessness.

Combs’ lawsuit was filed for the first time in October 2024. The lawsuit was filed anonymously by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee in October 2024. It was later amended to include Carter.

Combs was charged with federal sex crimes in 2024. Combs is currently in custody at the federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Combs has denied all wrongdoing.
Sean Combs’ legal team said Friday, “Sean Combs has never abused anyone sexually, whether it was a woman or a man, he did not traffick anyone. The media, the sensationalized accusations, or the lawsuits will not change the truth.”
