Dataminr reported on Sunday that the inspector general of the Department of Defense is investigating a New York Times article claiming that U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had shared detailed military plans with a second Signal group chat.

The Times reported on a second Signal chat that Hegseth created with his wife and brother, in which Hegseth shared details about a military airstrike conducted against Yemeni terrorists Houthi, in March.

CNN reports that the inspector general of the DOD is already investigating the first Signal chat Hegseth had used last month to communicate with cabinet officials about military plans against the Houthis.
