The Republicans’ plans didn’t pan out on Tuesday in Wisconsin. Susan Crawford, a liberal, won the all-important Supreme Court election in Wisconsin, defeating Brad Schimel with a large margin, despite President Donald Trump and Elon Musk interfering.

A wide range of political implications meant that the stakes were very high. Crawford’s victory gave the Democrats a majority of 4-3. It is expected that the Democrats will force redistricting in the House, which could cost Republicans two seats even before the election of 2026. The margin is so narrow that it could be decisive for who wins the majority.

Kamala Harris was one of the Democrats who rushed to celebrate the victory, seeing it as a shift in political winds. She released a TikTok about the election for reasons that were not immediately apparent. Let’s just say it was a mistake.

HARRIS: Hello, Wisconsin. Just wanted to stop by and say thank you. You are all extraordinary. You care about our country. You care. You make such extraordinary sacrifices for so many people. For communities. For people you will never meet. Unelected billionaires should and will not be able to speak louder than the people of Wisconsin.

She may be toasting there. She has a real way with words. The mystery of why voters in 2024 rejected her remains one the biggest political mysteries ever. We may never learn why being a “Brat” was not enough to get her over the line.

Harris’s comments about this particular race are ironic, considering that she lost Wisconsin. Was it because the Wisconsin voters loved their country that they rejected Harris? It’s all very strange, but Harris must feel she has to maintain her public image to prepare for a run in 2028. She will run, and her polling continues to be the best among Democrats, even though it is still early.

In that regard, it is important to note that the video contains almost all her faults as a politician. Her monotone tone, her repeated words, and her reliance upon focus-group talking points are all examples of her political liabilities. This “unelected billionaire’s” game Democrats use is lame. Every government bureaucrat, including George Soros, is “unelected”.

After watching that video, it’s hard to imagine how Harris or any Democrat would think she was a viable candidate in 2028. Her appeal is not sharpened. She is a household name, but she also has some of the worst political chops ever seen in American history. If they wish to go back and run the election, I would encourage them to.
