An undercover operation targeting child predators has resulted in the arrest of a school district employee in Northern California.
On July 3rd, law enforcement officials apprehended 29-year-old Alejandro Figuerosa of Rancho Cordova. He stands accused of contacting a minor with the intent to commit sex crimes. According to reliable sources, this arrest was the culmination of a month-long investigation where officers posed as a juvenile female online.
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office reports that Figuerosa made three attempts to meet with what he believed to be a minor at the El Dorado Hills Town Center. The significance of this case deepened when it was discovered that Figuerosa was employed by the Washington Unified School District in Yolo County.

Authorities have contacted both the school district and the West Sacramento Police Department. At this time, law enforcement officials state that no victims have been identified at Figuerosa’s place of employment.
The evidence suggests serious charges. Figuerosa was booked into the El Dorado County Jail in Placerville without bail, facing allegations of contacting a minor to commit felonies, attempted kidnapping, and sending harmful matter to a minor, among other related offenses.
This raises important questions about the effectiveness of online child protection measures and the vetting processes for school employees. The investigation continues, and the public is reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the proper authorities.
