Two young men from Marquette University’s lacrosse team have lost their lives in a tragic automobile accident near the institution’s main campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Noah Snyder, 20, and Scott Michaud, 19, both sophomores and members of the Golden Eagles lacrosse squad, were pronounced dead at the scene of a collision that occurred on Friday evening. According to reliable sources, the incident involved a vehicle carrying six lacrosse team members and another driven by a 41-year-old individual whose identity has not been disclosed.
Snyder, an attackman from Irving, New York, was pursuing studies in business administration. Michaud, hailing from Springboro, Ohio, was a goalie majoring in biomedical sciences. Both young men had distinguished themselves academically, having been named to the Big East Conference’s All-Academic Team in their freshman year.

The significance of this tragedy becomes clear when we consider the impact on the Marquette community. University President Kimo Ah Yun has called for prayers for the families of the deceased and acknowledged the profound loss felt by teammates, coaches, and acquaintances of Snyder and Michaud.
This incident raises important questions about road safety near college campuses. Milwaukee police report that an investigation is ongoing, with potential criminal charges pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
Four other occupants of the vehicle containing the lacrosse players received medical attention, either at the scene or in nearby hospitals. The full extent of their injuries remains to be determined.
