Metro Nashville Police reported that at least two students were injured on Wednesday at Antioch High School, Nashville after another student shot them in the cafeteria.

“Antioch High School has been placed on lockdown because shots were fired in the building.” Metro Police is on the scene. In a press release, the school district stated, “The person responsible for the shooting is no threat anymore. We will gather students in the auditorium to provide information about reunification.”

Police said that the shooter shot himself immediately after the incident.

There was no immediate information on the condition of the injured students.

According to its website, Antioch High School has approximately 2,000 students from grades 9 to 12.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said it is also responding to the shooting.
