Buckingham Palace announced Wednesday that Britain’s Princess Beatrice gave birth to her second child.
Beatrice Mapelli Mozzi, 36, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were welcomed by Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi at the palace on January 22. She weighed in at 4 pounds, 5 ounces.
In a post on social media, her father stated, “She is small and absolutely perfect.”
The palace stated that the king, queen, and members of the royal family were “delighted” with the news.
Beatrice is the older daughter of Prince Andrew, and Sarah, Duchess York, his former wife.
In July 2020, she married property millionaire Mapelli Mozzi at a private ceremony held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Royal Lodge in Windsor.
Athena joins older siblings, Mapelli-Mozzi’s 8-year-old son and Beatrice’s stepson Wolfie, and the couple’s 3-year-old daughter Sienna.
