Authorities said that an elementary school principal was arrested for allegedly hosting a huge boozy party at her home that was attended by over 100 children.

According to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, the incident happened on Jan. 19, when officers responded to reports of a house party. They observed more than 100 juveniles in matching tee shirts at the residence. Many of them were drinking alcohol which was later discovered to be available at the residence in coolers.

Police said that they quickly identified the homeowner as Elizabeth Hill-Brodigan who is the principal of Roosevelt Elementary School.

In a statement about the party, authorities stated, “While officers were investigating the event, a youngster was found on the lawn suffering from an alcohol-related medical condition.” “The juvenile was so intoxicated, that Brevard County Fire Rescue had to be called to treat him.”

Police continued: “During this period, officers observed Hill-Brodigan in her driveway turning off her outside lights and going into her home, which caused BCFR to use auxiliary lighting to treat the juvenile.” “A traffic stop near the residence resulted in the arrest of a juvenile driver.”

According to the Cocoa Beach Police Department, another intoxicated female adult — identified later as Karly Andersen, a teacher from Roosevelt Elementary School — also attended the party.

Police interviewed several juveniles and parents in the days following the incident. Hill-Brodigan was arrested on charges of child abuse, contributing to delinquency, and hosting an open house party.

Anderson was also arrested and charged with child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The school has yet to make a public statement about the party, and the investigation continues.
