A Warren County, Ohio family experienced a harrowing encounter in the early morning hours of Easter Sunday when an armed stranger threatened to kill the homeowner while invoking religious justification for violence.
The incident began shortly after midnight on April 5, when 23-year-old Anthony Long allegedly drove into the family’s driveway with his vehicle’s headlights turned off. Surveillance footage from the residence captured what followed: a man kneeling in the driveway, apparently in prayer, before approaching the home multiple times with increasingly aggressive behavior.
The suspect first knocked on the front door of the residence, receiving no response as the family slept inside. Minutes later, he returned, pounding on the door with greater force. The homeowners, Tiffany and Andy Miller, initially believed their daughter had returned home and was locked out. Upon checking, they discovered an unknown individual at their door in the middle of the night.
The family chose not to respond, and the suspect returned to his vehicle, which remained parked in their driveway. When one of the Miller daughters arrived home, Andy Miller made the decision to go outside and confront the stranger.
“Hey bud, you knocking on the door?” the father asked, according to the surveillance footage.
The suspect’s response was immediate and chilling: “I’ll kill you in the name of Allah.”
Andy Miller quickly retreated while shouting for his daughter to drive away from the property. According to Tiffany Miller’s account, the suspect then brandished a knife, attempted to approach the home once more, and ultimately drove off in pursuit of the daughter, who had already fled the scene.
