Former President Barack Obama participated in a question-and-answer session at Hamilton College last week. Obama hasn’t made many public appearances since President Donald Trump destroyed his party in the last election. After reading his comments, I came to the conclusion that he is extremely jealous of Trump’s accomplishments.
In referring to the actions taken by the new administration, President Obama said:
“Imagine if I had done any of this. I just want to be clear about this. Imagine if I had pulled Fox News’ credentials from the White House press corps. You’re laughing, but this is what’s happening. Imagine if I had said to law firms that were representing parties that were upset with policies my administration had initiated, that you will not be allowed into government buildings. We will punish you economically for dissenting from the Affordable Care Act or the Iran deal. We will ferret out students who protest against my policies. It’s unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that from me or a whole bunch of my predecessors.”
Recently, I had the idea that President Obama was watching what Trump accomplishes and regretting not taking more actions. Listen to me before you start blaming me for the abuses of the Obama White House. I will discuss these abuses in the paragraphs that follow. The Trump White House is relentless in its work.

Trump is well-known for his inability to sleep. He is also a tireless worker, which means that his staff must be aware of what is going on at all times. Imagine if the president called you at 4:30 am with a question that you are expected to answer. This is a staffer’s worst nightmare.
The way Trump has transformed the executive branch is something that must make President Obama’s former team green with envy. The Oval Office is where President Trump hosts his executive order signings, which turn into long press conferences lasting hours. He controls the narrative of the media almost by the hour. Trump announces new investments made by companies in America. He holds events. He announces DOGE savings. He is deporting illegal aliens and closing down the border. He cuts government programs. Hell, he cuts entire government agencies. He is declassifying documents from the government. He is destroying the bureaucracy. He is doing what he promised. Republicans voted this way.
Let’s go back to President Obama’s comments at Hamilton College. It’s funny that he mentions Fox News. I’m sure James Rosen, the Fox News journalist who was spied upon by the White House, would have a different opinion about his treatment towards the media. Or the Little Sisters of the Poor. Or the IRS targeting conservative groups. Okay, fine. Or President Biden removing 400 mostly conservative journalists from the White House Press pool. Obama wants you to forget about all that. What is the current problem for Obama? Why should we even remember his legacy?

Aside from the Affordable Care Act I don’t think anyone could remember an accomplishment of the Obama White House. His legacy is completely decimated. His status among Democrats has declined, proving how Donald Trump’s political climate has changed. CNN released a survey conducted by SSRS in mid-March. The results were truly shocking.
Democrats who consider Trump to be too extreme have not yet consolidated around a single party leader as a counterpoint. In an open-ended survey asking respondents to name a Democratic leader who “best represents the core values” of the party, 10% name New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, followed by 9% former Vice President Kamala Harris and 8% Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. The other 4% name Jasmine Crockett and former president Barack Obama, while Schumer is among the 2%.
Excuse me. Is Jasmine Crockett related to former President Barack Obama? Lady, the “skin-folk who are not our kin”? The biggest news is not that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez leads the poll. (I hope this poll is true.) It’s how low Obama scored. Hakeem Jeffreys, House Minority leader, is two percentage points ahead of Dollar Store Obama.
This is shocking. I knew that his credibility was damaged during the campaign when he repeated the “very nice people” hoax. Bill Clinton, even in his advanced age, is still a major player within his party. It must be a great regret for President Obama that he is so irrelevant this soon after leaving office.
