According to an arrest warrant, Marcus Jordan, son of basketball star Michael Jordan, was arrested in Florida on charges of drug possession and resisting arrest after his car got stuck on railroad tracks.
According to the affidavit, a 34-year-old Orlando resident was arrested in Maitland shortly before 2 am on Tuesday after an officer noticed a blue Lamborghini that appeared to have stopped on the railroad tracks. The officer alerted SunRail commuter rail to the vehicle and approached the SUV.
According to the affidavit, the officer stated that he could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver also had “red bloodshot eyes and slurred words.”
According to the affidavit, police learned that the vehicle allegedly fled a traffic check initiated by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
The Maitland Police Department has released footage from the body camera of the incident. Marcus Jordan admitted to police that he did not know the area, “got discombobulated”, and took a wrong turn onto the railroad tracks.

The footage shows him telling police “I’m Marcus Jordan and I’m Michael Jordan’s son” after he got out with his passenger of the vehicle that was stuck on tracks.
He said, “I didn’t do anything wrong. I was just trying to get back home and I made a wrong turn.” In the video, he asked the officers for assistance in getting his vehicle off the tracks.
He told officers in the footage that the “last thing I wanted to do is put my car on the tracks, obviously — it’s a $330,000 car.”
The policeman said that the video showed that he only had “a little” of alcohol that night, but that it was still “under the legal drinking limit.”

Police arrested Marcus Jordan for driving under the influence after conducting field sobriety exercises, according to the affidavit. When an officer said he believed Marcus Jordan had “too much to drink tonight,” Marcus Jordan responded, “I disagree with that, sir, but whatever you say. … I hear you, but I disagree.”
According to the affidavit, a “clear baggie with white powdery material” was discovered in the right front pocket of the pants. The substance tested positive for cocaine.
According to the affidavit, Marcus Jordan refused to cooperate after being asked to enter the patrol car.
In the footage from the bodycam, one of the officers said: “He started to kick when we put him in the vehicle.”
According to the affidavit, he refused to give breath samples at the Orange County DUI Center.
According to the affidavit, Marcus Jordan received a citation and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of cocaine. He also faced charges of resisting an official without violence. He was taken to the Orange County Jail without incident.
After his release on Tuesday, he did not respond to any questions from reporters. There is no attorney listed in his online court records.
Marcus Jordan is one of Michael Jordan’s five children.
He was a college basketball player for the University of Central Florida. In the affidavit, it was noted that he is currently self-employed.
