Reports from Los Angeles indicate that actress Lori Loughlin and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli have separated after nearly 28 years of marriage.
According to Elizabeth Much, a representative for Loughlin, the couple is “living apart and taking a break from their marriage.” Much emphasized that no legal proceedings have been initiated at this time. The significance of this development should not be overlooked, given the couple’s recent history.

Loughlin, known for her role as Aunt Becky on the television series “Full House,” married Giannulli in November 1997. They are parents to two adult children: Olivia Jade Giannulli, age 26, and Isabella Rose Giannulli, age 27.

This separation follows the couple’s involvement in the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal. Both Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to charges in 2020. As a consequence, Loughlin served two months in prison, while Giannulli served five months. At their sentencing, both expressed remorse for their actions.
In a recent interview, Loughlin spoke about perseverance and moving forward, without directly addressing the scandal. She stated, “Every day we’re met with different obstacles, but it’s all in how you approach things.” This raises important questions about the long-term effects of public controversy on personal relationships.
