DOGE sent the Democrats into a frenzy this week when Elon Musk’s team focused on USAID and began uncovering waste and other bad things.
The Democrats have gotten out of control in their response. Even former Democrat Representative Tim Ryan, from Ohio, called out Chuck Schumer for the way they responded. CNN’s panel of experts laughed at the Democrats’ inept protest.
Mike Benz (Director of the Foundation for Freedom Online, and a former State Department Official) connected the dots amid this whirlwind to another thing USAID was linked with — the former Wyoming GOP Rep. Liz Cheney. He said that she was “spawned out” of USAID because earlier in her career she worked for the agency.
Elon Musk replied, “Interesting.”
Liz Cheney responded to Musk. Her response was bizarre.
Damn right, @Elon. I am proud of the work done by America to end the Cold War, defeat Soviet Communism, and defend democracy. Our nation stood up for freedom. Since you were not yet an American, it’s possible that you don’t remember this part of history.
No one had mentioned the Cold War or the Soviet Union. It’s not surprising that she would jump into the scandal from the wrong side.
She did not even tag Elon’s account with the correct name — so much accuracy on her behalf. People on X made fun of her for that.
Many people on X mentioned that she received a pardon from Joe Biden. She didn’t reply when asked about it.
She said that Musk did not understand our history or the times when we “fought for freedom”, and she attacked his citizenship by saying “You may not be familiar” with it all since he was still a non-citizen. Liz, you’re a vile person for attacking immigrants who are citizens.
As Sen. Mike Lee (R – UT) said, “Not cool.”
Musk placed himself at risk by buying Twitter and renaming it X. He paid a lot for the service, but he knew that he would be a target for the Democrats. He then really raised a red flag when he backed Donald Trump. But he still did it because he believed it was important for freedom. He agreed to DOGE to improve the functioning of America. He has faced many lies and smears. This is courage. Cheney doesn’t get it.
Elon replied to Benz and reduced Cheney’s reply to “Damn, I was spawned from USAID.”
“No kidding,” he concluded. This explains a lot.
