Kim Kardashian is still supporting Black-owned businesses despite the recent controversy she has caused online over her support of Melania Trump.
The media mogul and reality television star was seen attending the Fifteen Percent Pledge Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Fifteen Percent Pledge is a nonprofit organization that advocates for racial equity and economic justice. It encourages major retailers and corporations to allocate 15% to Black-owned businesses.
Kardashian’s fashion was amazing. She wore a backless black dress by Balmain with a crocodile scale imprint on the bodice and sequined, sheer, and other embellishments.

The founder of the Fifteen Percent Promise, Aurora James, and R&B singer Kelly Rowland have presented a series of grants to three companies for the 2025 award: RedDrop ($200 000), Brooklyn Tea ($35 000) and Bernard James ($15 000).
Hannah Diop is the co-founder and CEO of Sienna Naturals. Issa Rae, an actress/comedian, was also awarded the $100,000 Sephora Beauty Grant.
Kardashian’s performance at the gala comes after she caused a political backlash by posting on her Instagram Story last month a photo of the first lady attending President Donald Trump’s inauguration. She hasn’t clarified the matter since.
Despite having a close relationship with Ivanka Jenner, the Kardashian-Jenners are not known to express their political views.
One commenter said, “Girl….” “Sold out to far-right maga propagandists. “
In 2016, Kardashian endorsed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in her race against President Trump, which he ultimately won. After former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris won in 2020, she posted three blue hearts on X alongside a picture of the pair.
