CNN reported Wednesday that the U.S. Internal Revenue Service plans to revoke the tax-exempt designation of Harvard University. CNN cited two sources who are familiar with the issue.
CNN said that a final decision regarding the revocation of the tax exemption for universities is expected to be made soon.
The report was released a day after Donald Trump threatened that Harvard would lose its tax-exempt designation if it did not comply with his demands for a major overhaul of academic programs.
