The government of El Salvador refused to allow Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) to see an alleged MS-13 gang member, who was mistakenly deported to the country.

Van Hollen said during a press briefing from El Salvador that Felix Ulloa was the vice president of El Salvador. They discussed “the case” of Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia. Abrego Garcia is “legally” in the United States. He asked El Salvador why Abrego Garcia, who was “legally” in the United States, is still being held.

Van Hollen claimed that Ulloa had told him that “earlier arrangements” were needed to arrange a meeting with Abrego Garcia. Ulloa then told the Maryland Senator that Ulloa “was not able to make this happen.”

“I asked the vice president if Abrego Garcia has not committed a crime and the U.S. courts have found that he was illegally taken from the United States, and the governor — government of El Salvador has no evidence that he was part of MS-13, why is El Salvador continuing to hold him in CECOT?” Van Hollen shared. “And, he answered that the Trump administration is paying El Salvador, the government of El Salvador, to keep him at CECOT.”

Van Hollen said to the family of Abrego Garca he would “do everything” to remove Abrego Garca from CECOT.

Van Hollen said, “I promised them that I would do all I could to get him out of CECOT. I will not give in, and I can assure President Trump and Vice President JD Vance that many senators and members of Congress will travel to El Salvador to discuss this matter.”

Previously, we reported that Democrats and the media continue to portray Abrego as a Maryland father with protected status. The White House, however, refers to Abrego as “the brutal leader of MS-13″. ”

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, an immigrant from El Salvador, has been in the spotlight this week. He was sent back home despite an April 2019 court ruling that prohibited his return to all countries but one.

Garcia was deported to El Salvador from the United States in 2006. He is now receiving legal help to file a lawsuit for his return to America.

This person, who was deported from the United States to El Salvador and will never return, was described by the administration as a violent, brutal MS-13. Karoline Lavitt was the White House Press Secretary who stated that in April.

We previously reported that, while Democrats continue defending Abrego Garcia although the White House has “raised reports” regarding the illegal immigrant’s violent past.

Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary, wrote that “Democrats are flying to El Salvador now to demand the return of these violent illegal alien MS-13 gang members to the United States.”

Bill Melugin of Fox News showed in a post a Maryland protection order filed by Abrego’s wife in 2021.

Stephen Miller and Marco Rubio, White House Deputy Chiefs of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security and Secretary of State, were both present at an Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump and his aides. El Salvador President Nayib Bukele responded to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins after she asked if “the Administration would seek the return” of Abrego Garcia.

Bukele called the question “preposterous” and said that he had “no power” to send Abrego Garcia back to the United States.

“The question is preposterous,” Bukele said. “How can I smuggle a terrorist into the United States? I don’t have the power to return him to the United States.”

In a previous report, we said that the Supreme Court had ruled that the Trump Administration was required to facilitate Abrego’s release.
