Tesla CEO Elon Musk made an extravagant offer to Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who claimed credit for the Democratic Mashup that was recently criticised. Booker turned down the generous offer.

At least 22 Democratic lawmakers participated in a “S— That Ain’t True” social media campaign ahead of President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress, posting identical videos to social media in a mashup against the president.

Musk mocked the synchronized mashup in social media. He offered to purchase a Cybertruck from X for “anyone who could provide proof as to who wrote this piece of propaganda.” Booker took the credit for.

Booker laughed when asked on Capitol Hill whether he would like the Cybertruck Musk offered. “No, I don’t.”

It begins with a video of Trump promising to “bring down prices starting on the first day” and then cuts in to a chorus of Senate Democrats who say, “S— that ain’t true? You just heard that.

Since the first day of Donald Trump’s presidency, there has been an increase in prices, not a decrease. Inflation is getting worse, not better. All prices are increasing, including groceries, gasoline, housing, rent, and eggs. In the meantime, Donald Trump did nothing to reduce costs for you,” said the Democrats in the video, which included Senators Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

Booker stated that the video was made to reach more people on the internet.

“We’re trying to do more things as a caucus that break through. This was very successful,” the senator said.

On social media, the video was criticized by Republicans, including Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.), who described it as “weird”.

Booker, however, thanked conservatives who shared the article.

Booker stated, “In this competitive world, where everyone is competing for attention, our video got more attention and many more views because the people of the right were elevating it, which I appreciated.”
