Officials reported that two U.S. military personnel were killed and another seriously injured in a vehicle accident near El Paso in Texas, on Tuesday morning, as they deployed to support border operations.

According to KTSM, citing local fire officials and the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office, the incident involved a vehicle belonging to the military. The three victims were all transported away from the accident scene before emergency responders arrived. Later, the Sheriff’s Office confirmed that all three victims were airlifted from the scene to a hospital nearby.
Later, the Joint Task Force announced that two servicemen died as a result of their injuries. The third is still in serious condition.
The task force stated, “The cause of the accident is being investigated.”
