A bus transporting a junior high school football team to a game was involved in an accident this Saturday, just north of Pittsburgh. This unfortunate turn of events led to 21 of the 28 passengers requiring immediate medical attention, as confirmed by local authorities.

There were 25 students from Aliquippa Junior High and three adults on the bus, en route to a football game in Gibsonia. The accident occurred in Economy Borough, approximately 20 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Economy Borough Police Chief, Michael O’Brien, has stated that details regarding the medical status of those taken to the hospital are unavailable at this time. It has been mentioned that the bus, during the course of the incident, tipped onto its side, but managed to right itself as the students were evacuating.

O’Brien added that the accident occurred at a challenging stretch of the road, known for its unfavorable bend. The incident is currently under investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
